Certification Facts:

• We do not restrict certification to people who have a theological degree
• We are looking for passion, ability and giftedness as the criteria
• Certification is open to men and women
• Certification with the Academy requires you to become an active member in good standing
• Review the criteria for the ideal candidate

Certification Requirements:

All candidates are required:

• To be in agreement with our value statements
• To attend a two-day training session (We understand that people do have experience, however it is mandatory for certification
• To provide a reference
• To agree to our code of conduct
• To pay an annual membership and certification fee

Certification Courses Offered:

Funeral Celebrant: Funeral Celebrant Certification takes place five times a year, live, via Zoom. We do not, and will not, offer this training and certification by video modules. The very nature of a funeral is that it is done in person, so we offer our training live. A very special part of our training is the preparation and presenting of a eulogy. Presenting this live is the most amazing experience with outstanding results.

The training is over a Saturday and Sunday, 9am-3pm. The course is capped at ten, so register early to save a spot. Once the course is complete, we will send you an official certificate that can be used in marketing and promotions of your services.

Wedding Celebrant: Wedding Celebrant Certification takes place six times a year, live, via Zoom. We do not, and will not, offer this training and certification by video modules. The very nature of a wedding is that it is done in person, so we offer our training live.
